We have the best little girl

Starting on Thursday night Hazel decided that she wanted to sleep through the night. She slept from 9:30-5:30...Jonathan and I hadn't had that much sleep since Dec. 30th! Friday night she slept from 10:30-5:30, and again last night she slept from 10:30-6. What a wonderful little girl. This also couldn't have come at a better time. I started back to work on Tuesday last week. I cried my entire 20 minute drive up to school. If I think about it too much, I get a little weepy still. So, please don't ask me how I'm
doing...I might get too emotional on you...just know that I am counting down the days until May 23rd.

Jonathan brought Hazel up to see me at work on Friday, so instead of "pumping" I got to feed her myself.

We are also counting down the days until Hazel's cousin arrives. I am sure Gordon and Kristin are too! We can't wait!!

Capturing the Moment

This morning we had a smiling session and managed to capture a few pictures of Hazel smiling.

Here she was making a face like she wanted to giggle...but no sound came out!

Here she went from a really cute smile to a sad pouty lower lip.

Here is a really cute smile!
Hooray Hazel likes us...also note her mohawk.

A cute night

Last night for no apparent reason Hazel decided to smile at me. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen, and then she smiled at me two more times! We obviously haven't gotten a picture of that, but the nice thing about smiles is that once she starts smiling she won't stop!

Here she is pushing her head up.

This morning Jonathan and Hazel read some Winnie the Pooh.

One Month Old!!!

Hazel is one month old today. We decided to weigh her and see how big she is. She is about 9 1/2 lbs which happens to be about how much I weighed when I was born. So here are a few pictures of me as a newborn and of Hazel at one month old.

I am six weeks old here--what a chubby baby!

Hooray for snuggle time with mom.

Here she is just thinking about life.

Here she is smiling in her sleep--this is a wonderful glimpse of what she will look like when she actually means to smile!
